Calligo Technologies is a Bangalore-INDIA based start-up focused on development of products and solutions serving HPC, Big Data and AI/ML segments to global marquee enterprises. Established in 2012, focused in HPC/AI & Big Data from 2014 onwards.
The leadership team comes with collective experience of more than 100+ years with wide exposure to Compute, Storage and Semiconductor Industry. This has thus enabled them to look at the needs of the Compute & Storage industry comprehensively.
Calligo has been focused on developing Products and Solutions that are oriented towards the HPC, AI & Big Data solution for multiple industry segments. Calligo strongly believes in the future of HPC & AI as it is a critical pain point to be solved for large computational needs. The need for real time analysis / extraction of information on life threatening situations or to enlighten the leadership on analysis that would be a game changer in their business pushes the spectrum of the compute infrastructure to its extreme limits, eventually these infrastructures tend to become bottle necks limiting the compute ability in the state of consternation.
To address these limitations and overcome the pain point, the products and solutions from Calligo have been developed and implemented to various industries/enterprises.
Already an established player in parallelizing and optimizing of large HPC Software applications, CalligoTech is now working on improving Hardware of computing at grass-root levels. Towards this, the Company has developed co-processor capable of doing computations using a new number system – the Posit Number System (PNS) – invented in 2017. Calligo has integrated the Coprocessor with a RISC-V Processor creating a highly power-efficient, and computationally more accurate CPU core. We call it as CRISP-core (Calligo RISC-v with Posit). Complementing this hardware, CalligoTech has modified RISC-V C/C+/gFortran compilers to generate Posit-enabled executables, without need for any source-level changes. Linux OS booting, compilation and running of C/C++ applications with posit-enabled executables was demonstrated at many international events; RISC-V Event at Switzerland (June 2019), HiPC Conference at Hyderabad (Dec 2019), at VLSID Conference at Bangalore (Jan 2020) and recently at HiPC 2022.

Anantha P Kinnal is one of the Cofounders and Managing Director of Calligo Technologies. He has 30+ years of experience on VLSI Designs and Large Systems’ Designs. He served as Director of Engineering at AMD-India, leading Design Verification teams on APU, Gaming APU and Server CPU designs. Earlier, at Intel-India he was responsible for Pre-silicon Verification and Post-silicon test-content for Xeon CPUs.
He worked at start-up NexGen in California (later acquired by AMD) on Nx-586 & 587 and worked on AMD-K6 & K8 CPUs after acquisition. Later, he was the Head of CPU Design Centre at AMD-Singapore. Prior to US, he worked in France at Bull S A on a Mainframe Project, as Chief Architect & Project Manager responsible for IO Sub-system connectivity to CPU Sub-system. He started his career working on Reverse Engineering of PDP-11 CPU at PSI Data Systems, Bangalore.

Rajaraman Subramanian (Giri) is co-founder and Director (Software) at Calligo. He has over 3 decades of experience in establishing and leading systems and software engineering companies. Giri has an appealing track record of attracting, developing and retaining top talent in competitive job markets. Consequently, he possesses cross-functional expertise in business and technology. Prior he was with EMC2, as Director of Engineering.
He has also served companies like Adaptec as Managing Director and AMI as Unit Head. He joined both Adaptec and AMI as an early member of their management teams, responsible for setting up operations in India. Besides this, he also led their R&D teams. Giri believes that innovation comes naturally to teams built on trust and a sense of ownership.
Vinay N Hebballi has over 3 decades of industry experience with significant exposure to Semiconductor and System development. Has a decade of experience as COO and driving the business in organizations that he has served.
He has been with Olivetti, Verifone, Hewlett Packard, Sasken Communication and recently was one of the founders in Graphene Semiconductor that was acquired by LTTS.
In Calligo – Vinay is the COO and driving all external Communication, Investments, Sales and Marketing efforts.

Dr. Sriganesh K Rao
Director
Dr. Sriganesh K Rao has over 4 decades of industry experience with significant experience in 5G, Smart Cities, IoT/ M2M, Industries 4.0, Digital Healthcare, Digital Transformation domains.
He has served in Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Teleservices, IBM (India & Australia), OPTUS (Australia) , ERG Telecommunications (Australia), Alopa Networks, Bharat Electronics, TVS Electronics and United Telecoms. He has also played an active role in Standards development.
In Calligo – Sriganesh is Director-Special Programs bringing in new projects and programs.
